Transport
The IUB Transport Division is providing transport
services to its students, faculty & staff, departmental guests,
employee's school going children and their dependents seven days a
week from 6:50 A.M - 12:30 AM after every half an hour at a time
from old campus to BJC & BJC to old campus, old campus to
Railway campus/ veterinary college & Railway campus/ veterinary
college to old campus. Aims: To lay down policies and procedures required in providing safe, reliable and efficient transport service to students, faculty & staff.To streamline systems, for effective control, in order to ensure economy of time, effort and resources. Facilities 1. Campus To Campus facility.2. Free study tours. 3. Field Trips. 4. Emergency Services. 5. Facility by allotment of vehicles to the Principal Officers. 6. Facility to the non allottees. 7. Facility to the teachers. 8. Facility by rental basis. 9. Facility on different events. Transport Division at a Glance: A major contribution has been made in providing the heavy/light vehicles in the pool of transport division. Fuel System: Transport Division has a proper check & balance fueling system. Mileage certificates are issued to all vehicles from Motor Vehicle Examiner. Route kms are defined and fuel issued to all vehicles according to the mileage and kms.Repair & Maintenance work: All works of repair & maintenance are being done through the Transport Committee. The specious bus yard has launched near the hostel for bringing ease to the students and avoiding congestion in the main campus. Basic maintenance works of Heavy/Light vehicles are being done in Transport Division independently according to the following details. a). Engine overhauling of Heavy/Light vehicles. b). Electric works. c). Tyre puncturing of Heavy vehicles. d). Greasing of Heavy vehicles. e). Washing of Heavy/Light.
